This high-impact workshop is adapted from the national field guide for youth service providers, “Smart Moves That Successful Youth Workers Make,” written by Cassandra Mack. This workshop is essentially Youth Work 101. It provides participants with a framework for effective youth practice. The workshop covers: the 7 core competencies for effective youth work, the 7 roles of the front-line service provider, common mistakes that youth workers make and the importance of maintaining appropriate boundaries.
